League Rules

General Rules

These are the general rules which count for each cup. We will try to make the rules complete and up to date but this may not always be the case. If you want to participate in a cup, you and your team should agree with these rules. These rules are a guideline. Admins can make decisions which may differ from the rules, this depends on the circumstances. If you have any questions, you can contact the *admin team*.

Requirements:

- You must have a registered team, with the required amount of members.

1. Cup rules

Each team or/and participant should abide by the rules. Everyone who doesn’t can be excluded from the cup by an admin. The admins have the rights to make decisions which may be different from the original rules, however this depends on the circumstances.

 1.1. Authorisation to play

Each player must join their teams before the cup has started. Players in those teams need to be set as 'Playing' and any other players set as 'Not Playing' if those players are playing for another team. Substitutes can join the team during the cup however they cannot join if they have played in the current cup for another team.

  1.1.2 Signing teams out

You can only sign out the team of a cup you are set as playing in

1.2. Disqualification / exclusion from the cup

We reserve the right of disqualifying players or teams before and during a cup.

Disqualification of teams:

  • Not showing up for a match (full team). +- 15 minutes after start of the match.
  • Inappropriate behaviour from each team member or flaming
  • Using tags, pictures or team names of teams or communities, which you are not part of.
  • Using inadequately team-names or pictures.
  • Playing with too similar or equal nicknames
  • Using players on a different account than their main one if not approved by admin.
  • Trying to deceive an admin.
  • Ghosting, Cheating and/or Glitching

Disqualification or exclusion of a team member:

  • Not showing up for a match (single member). This does not count for when a member is timed out. +- 15 minutes after the start of the cup.
  • Inappropriate behaviour or flaming
  • Cheating and/or Glitching
  • Using tags, pictures or team names of teams or communities, which you are not part of.
  • Using inadequately nicknames or pictures.

If you notice the enemy team doing one of these things, make a screenshot or save the replay so you can show to an admin. If the admin does NOT have proof than he cannot disqualify or exclude a team or a member from the cup. If a member is disqualified from the cup, the team can use an other player from the team to bring him/her in. If the team does not have a reserve player, they can ask a player who is not in the team to play for them. If you ask for a player who is not in the team to play, please let an admin know from this. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SCREENSHOTS OR REPLAYS FROM ENEMY FAULTS.

 1.3. Parole

A Player which is on parole has to put $e34on parole behind his nickname during every match of a cup in his on parole period. If he has not, it will count as a major rule break. If a player on parole breaks a rule during his on parole period, the penalty will be doubled!

 1.4. Matches
  1.4.1. Results

The results should be sent to the website automatically during each match. However make sure you have a screenshot of the result with the in-game clock, should you need to contact an admin to report an incorrectly transmitted score.

  1.4.2. Default wins

Default wins are only distributed if a player or team doesn’t show within 15 minutes of the match being assigned. An admin will make sure that this result will be entered as a ‘Default win’. If your team does not show up you will get a penalty point.

  1.4.3. Pausing of the game

A game can be paused by request of the enemy team by clicking the dedicated "pause" button above the "start veto" button in our plugin or with the ingame vote. One of the reasons can be that one person is having ping issues or having problems with snapshot.
A game must be paused when a player has timed out! Playing versus a team with a player less is not allowed! If the disconnected player does not come back in a time limit from around 10 minutes the admins can decide to give a default win.
Abusing a pause without sufficient reason will be punished.

2. Media

At least one player from each team should take one or multiple screenshots. These screenshots can be used to prove to an admin the correct score, or the faults that an other player has done. Replays may also be used.

3. Player rules
 3.1. Skins

Players are not allowed to use the stormwoman skin or any other skin which is different from the original one. A painted skin is allowed.
Example from other skins: Stormwoman, Smurf skin, minecraft skin, etc…

4. Money Payout

The money will not be payed out if:

  • there is suspicion of payers or teams breaking the rules.
  • members of the team act anappropriately.
  • the team is disqualified.
  • a player does not enter a tournament with his main account.
  • you do not contact us after 4 weeks (league@paragon-esports .com)
  • there are less than 8 teams (Elite: 16) signed up for the Cup - only on Cups with non-dynamic prize payouts

According to these rules admins have the final word on whether cash prizes are rewarded or not.
 4.1. Dynamic Prize Money
Most Cups are using the dynamic Prize Money system. The prizes shown on the Cup Overview page are based on the amount of teams that have signed up for the cup. If a team does not show up it will not take part in the final calculation of the prizes at the end of the Cup.
