First of all: That you can't lose lp in pl cups is like this since the beginning (2 years now) and it never stopped players from joining mm before. Nadeo said that the maps have to be new for the world cup as far as I know (I could be wrong). But I also do remember that it would have been possible to take remakes of the old maps. Like there already are a lot of versions of maps like Rust or Paladin. But nobody built any remakes of the old maps....

The Siege maps for Paragon Cups would need 5 poles indeed. Also there are currently only 3v3 Siege Cups, so make sure your map is made for 3v3. ;) Further more I would suggest asking a Admin of the 3v3 Siege server to upload your map there, let it play and see if it gets a good karma.
